CHONDRO® Base is a complementary feed for the performance and competing horse as well as the older horse, and is used to improve joint condition. Glucosamine, together with chondroitin and manganese, has a beneficial effect on cartilage, while hyaluronic acid helps maintain the density of synovial fluid.

In the horse’s body, just as in humans, the natural production of these important nutrients decreases with age, which is why CHONDRO® Base is recommended for older horses.
Friska Leder also recommends giving CHONDRO® Base together with Conquest Every Day to highly trained/competing horses and horses that have previously been treated in one or more joints.

Updated version of Chondrogen® 100 PRO, CHONDRO® Base contains a higher amount of high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid than Chondrogen® 100 PRO. CHONDRO® Base also contains added vitamin D, which is important for calcium metabolism in the skeleton.
