Trikems Feed salt contains sodium and chloride, which are important for the horse's salt balance.
The horse gets its salt via the feed, but roughage, for example, generally contains low levels of sodium and therefore salt needs to be given as a supplement in the feed.
The need for salt increases above all during work when the horse loses a lot of fluid in the form of sweat. Also on other occasions, the need for salt can increase, for example with loose stools. A lack of sodium can lead to a reduced water intake, which can give rise to a number of problems, including colic.

Dosage: 5-10 ml (5-15 g) per 100 kg body weight per day
