Kevin Bacon’s Recup Clay is a natural clay for horses, specially developed for use after training, competition or other physical exertion. It helps provide a cooling and soothing sensation in areas that have been exposed to intense strain or prolonged activity.
The formula is enriched with burdock and arnica, two plants commonly used in products designed to support recovery after physical effort. Arnica has traditionally been used to support muscles and tissues after work, while burdock helps soothe the skin and supports the body in managing minor swelling in areas that have been heavily stressed. Together they provide a comfortable feeling and support recovery after training or competition.
The base consists of mineral rich bentonite clay, naturally containing illite, kaolinite and smectite. These minerals help supply essential minerals to the skin and underlying tissue while supporting the body’s recovery after physical exertion.
Recup Clay also contains lithothamnion, a mineral rich marine algae that supports the body’s natural recovery process and helps restore vitality in the tissues after work.
The product also contains potent water, which helps the clay draw impurities away while allowing valuable minerals to spread evenly over the skin. The plant extracts are added as tinctures produced through slow maceration, a gentle process that preserves the plants’ natural properties and ensures the product remains mild on the skin.

Directions for use
- Rinse the area thoroughly before application. Apply the first layer against the direction of the hair and then a second layer following the direction of the hair.
- For best results, allow the clay to air dry without covering. Natural air drying enhances the refreshing and tightening sensation. If covering is necessary, use a breathable material.
- Allow the clay to dry until it cracks completely. Then brush off or rinse away. There is no maximum application time.
