Size guide
Stierna
Sometimes it can be difficult to find the right size when you buy clothes online. Use our size guide to make sure you get the right fit for your new riding clothes. Start from your body measurements and compare with the tables to find the right size. Stierna's garments are generally made for a close fit to maximize moisture transport and warmth. Our garments have an ergonomic design made to follow the body's movement patterns, this is sometimes called "body mapping". This means that you have full freedom of movement in all situations.
Find the right size - how to measure:
Take out a measuring tape, paper and pencil.
First, measure your bust, waist and hip measurements, as described below.
Then read your size in the table here.
1. Bust
Measure with the measuring tape over the bust where it is largest. The tape measure must not be too tight, but also not too loose. Check in the mirror that the measuring tape is completely horizontal around the bust and back. Women should measure with a bra on.
2. Waist
Measure with the tape measure around the waist where it is narrowest. Do not tighten the tape measure, and keep it completely straight/horizontal. Do not hold your breath while measuring, and do not measure immediately after a large meal.
3. Hips
You measure the hip measurement around the butt/hips where they are widest (approx. 20 cm below the waist, for adults).
4. Inner seam
The inside seam, along the inside of the leg, is easiest to measure on a pair of trousers that fit. Measure from the crotch down to the bottom of the pants.
Consider the environment.
We would like you as a customer to spend some time finding the right size, as we want to save the environment by trying to avoid unnecessary returns. We are happy to help if you would like help finding your size.

Care advice
LAUNDRY -/CARE ADVICE from Stierna
Here you will get tips on how to take care of your Stierna functional garments in the best way so that they work as they should, stay fresh and withstand many years of use.
Care advive EQUTEX™
All EQUTEX™ materials are waterproof and windproof and have a vapor permeability, i.e. "breathe".
In order for the function not to be destroyed or blocked by dirt, the garment should be kept clean. All EQUTEX™ materials have, in addition to a waterproof membrane, a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment, which is a surface treatment of the fabric to make it dirt and water repellent. If the outer fabric gets wet, the garment's breathing is prevented and the wet/cold fabric hangs against your body - the membrane on the inside of the fabric is still active and the garment is waterproof - but it may feel like the garment is "leaking" as condensation forms on the inside of the garment. The garment then needs to be re-impregnated and we recommend that this be done at least once per season or more often depending on how much the garment has been used as the surface treatment wears off over time.
- Follow the washing instructions on the label attached to the garment.
- Close zippers and Velcro before washing and release any tight adjustments on hood and waist. Don't forget to empty your pockets of horse treats! Brush off mud, sand, hair and hay.
- Use gentle detergent suitable for waterproof technical fabrics, we recommend Nikwax Tech Wash.
Ordinary detergent can damage the function of the fabric.
Never use fabric softener as it impairs the fabric's moisture transport and is an unnecessary burden on the environment.
- Rinse the garment thoroughly and do not overdose on detergent.
- Hang dry the garment at room temperature.
- When re-impregnating EQUTEX garments, we recommend Nikwax TX.Direct Wash-in. Follow the instructions on the packaging. Keep in mind that one long coat is equivalent to two (2) garments and dose impregnation accordingly. Do not tumble dry, but hang dry at room temperature.

Care advive Riding breeches
Here you will get tips on how to take care of your Stierna garments in the best way so that they function as they should, stay fresh and withstand many years of use.
- Follow the washing instructions on the label attached to the garment.
- Close zippers and buttons before washing. Don't forget to empty pockets of horse treats!
- Turn the breeches inside out before washing to avoid unnecessary wear on the silicone grip.
- We recommend that the GuppyFriends laundry bag be used to reduce the wear and tear on the garment, and in addition, the laundry bag catches the microplastic particles that would otherwise have followed the washing water out and finally ended up in our waterways.
- Use gentle detergent without bleach. We recommend Nikwax Techwash. Never use fabric softener as it impairs the fabric's moisture transport and is an unnecessary burden on the environment.
- Hang dry the garment at room temperature.
