Bombers Moulded Preferred Contact Bradoon is a synthetic loose ring bit with a flexible mouthpiece combining rounded cylindrical sides with a flat tongue pad. Preferred Contact was developed for horses where Bombers mouthpieces designed to provide greater tongue relief have not been successful and where more consistent pressure across the tongue may be preferable.
The cylindrical sides of the mouthpiece flex over the bars and lower jaw, while the flattened centre section sits across the tongue. Its elongated oval tongue pad is angled at 45° to lie flush against the tongue and palate. Articulated sections on either side allow the cylindrical sides to move with a degree of independence while providing stability to the tongue pad.
Loose rings provide direct contact and immediate release. As the rider softens the rein contact, pressure on the tongue and bars is relieved and the bit can return to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth.
The mouthpiece has a flexible stainless steel cable core injection moulded with Bombers’ synthetic material. The material is non-toxic, UV resistant and FDA approved, and has been developed with a focus on texture, durability and flexibility.
